Hotjar + Intelligems
Watch the session, and know which variation the shopper saw.
You already record sessions in Hotjar. Once you connect, every session carries the test group it belongs to.
Intelligems tags Hotjar sessions with the experiment and group a shopper was in. Filter your recordings by that tag to see how shoppers behaved in each variation.
Does Intelligems integrate with Hotjar?
Yes. When a shopper enters a live experiment, Intelligems tags their Hotjar session:

One tag, carrying both the experiment and the group. Filter on it in Hotjar to isolate the sessions from a single variation.
How the integration works
Data moves one direction
Hotjar recordings and metrics do not appear in Intelligems reporting, and Hotjar behavior cannot target an Intelligems test.
Tagging is not measurement
Hotjar shows you what shoppers did in each group. It does not tell you whether the difference is real. Read significance, revenue, and profit in Intelligems, then use Hotjar to understand the why.
Nothing backfills
Sessions start getting tagged on the next page view after you connect, so connect before you launch the experience you want to watch.
To get started
Confirm Hotjar is installed and recording on your store
In Intelligems, on the bottom left navigation, click Integrations > Hotjar
Enable the integration
Sessions begin tagging on the next page view
