Post-Purchase Upsells (Beta)

You can now offer customers a one-click upsell after they complete checkout, fully native to Shopify.

Post-Purchase Upsells let you present a targeted offer to customers in between the checkout page and the thank you page. Dedicated analytics shipped alongside it, including post-purchase upsell revenue and % of orders with a post-purchase upsell, so you can measure performance from day one.

  • Offer appears on the order confirmation page, fully integrated with Shopify's native checkout flow

  • Key metrics and conversion graphs auto-added when you create a post-purchase test

  • Test or personalize discounts, products shown, and messaging

Countdown Timer Checkout Block

Add a live countdown timer to your checkout to drive urgency.

The Countdown Timer is a new checkout block that lets you add sale-deadline or per-visitor urgency timers directly in checkout. Pick from three styles: a plain text countdown, a large digital clock, or a compact inline pill. Colors, separators, units, and expired-state behavior are all configurable.

  • Three display styles: text, digital clock (HH:MM:SS with headline), and inline pill

  • Configurable colors, separators, and expired-state behavior

  • Available to all customers via the checkout block builder

Customer Type Filter in Analytics

Filter your experience analytics by new vs. returning customers.

You can now segment your analytics by customer type directly in the experience analytics view. New customer is defined as someone placing their first order; returning customer is anyone who has ordered before.

  • Filter by new customer, returning customer, or all visitors

  • Updated UI for device type and visitor type filters

  • Available in both test and personalization analytics views

Other Updates

  • Gift with Purchase Variant Picker. When a free gift comes in multiple variants, shoppers can now pick which one they want at cart instead of receiving a default variant.

  • CSS/JS editor in Split URL test modifications. The modifications tab for Split URL tests now includes a CSS/JS code editor, consistent with other test types.

  • Progress bar counts only eligible products. For offers restricted to specific products, the progress bar now advances only when eligible items are added to cart.

  • Multi-currency discount fix. Fixed-amount offer discounts (e.g. £15 off) now correctly convert to the shopper's local currency on Shopify Markets stores.

  • Agency portal: brand management now fully self-serve. Agency members can assign and remove brand plans, cancel pending downgrades, and remove brands directly from the Brand Management portal.

  • Plugin Flicker Improvement (Alpha). A new opt-in setting reduces Intelligems' impact on web vitals for pages without active tests, while maintaining flicker prevention on pages that do. Requires App Embed installation. Available by request; reach out to support@intelligems.io to opt in.

  • Affiliate channel filter in analytics. "Affiliate" is now selectable in Source Channels on analytics.
